A Quick Response To Mike Turk

Thanks first for reading my memo. You are absolutely right to point out that my plan to integrate eCampaign staff into each department and to elevate our eCampaign Director to the Deputy Chief of Staff level will fail without aggressive, innovative leadership from the Chairman, the Chief of Staff, and the leadership of Political, Communications, and Finance.

But let me be clear, I don't intend to fail nor do I think this is failed model.

If I'm lucky enough to have the honor of becoming RNC Chairman this January, you have my word that our new division heads will recognize the transformative potential of technology, rather than myopically seeing it as a threat, a fad or a distraction. In fact, I'll make it a priority to ensure that every staffer at the RNC -- from the Chairman's office down to the folks in B-2 -- understands that we must leapfrog the Democrats' online advantages in the 2008 cycle. Because, as you correctly note, we don't have time to fail again.

You voted for SRS 511. Please. challenge this election. It is not about Mr. Obama,or Senator McCain. it is about future candidates and future elections. Who comes next, IF historical precedent is set? Speak up, this is not going to go away. WE WILL NOT FORGET , WHEN YOU COME UP FOR RE-ELECTION. Mr. Obama is not a "natural born US Citizen, regardless of where he was born.

    PLEASE READ.
SRS 511 was based upon the findings of
Laurence H Tribe and Theodore B Olson of the firm of GIBSON, DUNN & CRUTCHER LLP.
Also the testimony of Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, a former Federal judge. One of the requirements was that, at the time of the individuals birth both parents be US Citizens. Mr. Obamas' parents were NOT BOTH
US Citizens at the time of his birth. He posted this information on his website, and it is public knowledge that his father was a citizen of Kenya.

"Therefore, based on the original meaning of the Constitution, the Framers' intentions, and subsequent legal and historical precedent,Senator McCain's birth to parents who were U.S. citizens, serving on a U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936, makes him a
``natural born Citizen'' within the meaning of the Constitution."

"Because he was born to American citizens, there is no doubt in my mind that Senator /McCain/ is a ``natural born Citizen''.

i just read mike turk’s post .... its nice but its like the thousands of other republicans offering advice. he is not all encompassing. you mr saltsman i believe realize eCampaign details must also be present at each and every republican county level web site.

and too i wonder if its NOT our republican beliefs which have changed in a century and a half but its the voter base who shifts about from time to time .... lets keep our list of principles posted front and center please.

we began with: "free speech, free press, free soil, free men, frémont and victory!"
-campaign slogan and ideology of the early republican party and the john charles frémont for president campaign.

I have read Mike Turk's comments on the Next Right. The following is a comment that I left for Mr. Turk at the Next Right:

Mr. Turk, I read with great interest your article about Chip Saltsman's Plan. His plan is not defective in any way. I would hope that anyone running for RNC Chair would understand the need to have technologically savvy people in every area of the staff, certainly at the positions of Division heads. Once again, Chip Saltsman is way ahead of the curve. He understands the importance of the internet and fully intends to have qualified division heads working with e-campaign staff in every department of the RNC. In case you haven't seen it, please take a minute to look at what Mr. Saltsman has to say about your "Critique". I fully expect that when Chip Saltsman is elected RNC Chair, our party will finally have a leader who is creative and innovative and will lead us into the 21st Century. He will work with County Chairs and State Chairs in every state to help them develop state of the art sites in ways that will be user friendly. Come along to the 21st Century Mr. Turk. Join the Chip Saltsman for RNC Chair movement.
